Area Dean – It was announced this week that Rev’d Matt has been appointed to be Area Dean of Thanet, alongside his role as Priest in Charge of St Peter’s. An Area Dean helps to assist the Churches in our Deanery (Thanet) and works alongside the Diocese to encourage and support local clergy, lay leaders and congregations. Please pray for Matt and Thanet Deanery as he takes up these responsibilities alongside his work here.
Prayers for Healing Update – Those whose names are on the Pew Sheet requesting prayer are now either people with an urgent and present need for prayer, or those who wish to remain on this list for the present, for whatever reason. Those with long-term or chronic illness will no longer be listed here, as their need is different; they are now being prayed for separately by a small team of intercessors. Please let Rev’d Matt or Rev’d Alice know if you would like to make changes or additions to either list. Rev’d Alice.
St Peter’s Toddler Group – Thank you to everyone who joined us on Thursday 16th July for our end-of-term summer party. A fun time was had by all! As St Peter’s Toddler Group is now on its summer break, we are looking ahead to the new term. To help prepare, we will be holding a cleaning session in the Main Hall on Saturday 29th August from 2.30pm-4.00pm. If you have some spare time and would like to help clean the toys, we would be very grateful. Drinks and biscuits will be provided. Thank you. The next one takes place on Wednesday 19th August. Tea and coffee from 7.00pm. This is a relaxed and informal session, exploring a different way of praying at each session, and each session will stand alone, so if you cannot make one, or you can only make a few, that is fine. More details to come, but if you have any questions, do get in touch with Rev’d Matt or Rev’d Alice. We look forward to seeing you there!
