Over 50 years ago the group was started by young wives who met together with their small children in the afternoon. We now gather on the first and third Tuesday in each month during term time at the Portland centre.
We are a friendly group of about 30 members with a shared fellowship as we are linked to the church. The committee endeavour to offer a varied programme each term including speakers, craft sessions, visits and hopefully at least one outing, so we may enjoy a lovely meal.

All our meetings take place in the Portland centre and include a raffle, tea, coffee and biscuits. A very interesting speaker will be introduced once we greet all our current members and any important notices are given at 7.30 pm.
