FUNDRAISING
Don’t forget that the ‘Talk & Tea’ event with Rev Alice Bates will now take place on Friday 6th May, starting at 2.00pm. All those who signed up for the original event are welcome and, if you know anyone else who would like to come, please let us know and we’ll supply them with a ticket. £10.00 will buy them a really interesting talk from Alice about growing up in Mexico plus an excellent Afternoon Tea. What’s not to like!
We are rather short of Raffle Prizes now and as we plan to run raffles at the Summer Fête, we would be very grateful for anything which you could donate. Please bring any contributions to the Parish Office.
Christian Aid – Can you help? Delivery-only envelopes During the week 8-15th May, we shall be delivering Christian Aid Delivery-only envelopes in the streets close to the Church and inviting recipients to return them to the Parish Office. Could you help with delivering envelopes? If so, please either speak to me or sign up on the list near the south door of the Church. Thank you. Elspeth Cooke (01843) 863293.

RELAUNCH of Loose Change Boxes – Now that we are getting back to some normality, we would like to relaunch this scheme. If you already have a box then please start reusing it and when your box is full take it into the Parish Office or ring Don (01843) 602287 to arrange a pick up. When in the Parish Office, please empty the change into an envelope with your name and phone number on it then start again. I then phone you to let you know how much you have contributed. If you are new to the scheme or want to restart then new boxes will be in the Office and the Church (by coffee table) – so simply take a box and put your details down on the list and start collecting. Hopefully the scheme will soon be as successful as it has been in the past. Don Bumpstead for Fundraising Team.
Thanet Food Link – Thank you so much for all those who give so generously to this food bank. The coordinator has said that present shortages are: tinned tomatoes, tinned soup, tinned fruit, tinned vegetables, cereal, pasta, rice, biscuits, tea bags (box of 80), coffee instant (100g jar). Also needed are toiletries (toothpaste, toothbrushes, shower gel and shampoo). Items can be left in Church on a Sunday 9.30am – 11.00am or Wednesday morning 10.00am – 12 noon. Thank you, Rev Jan.
Missing – Can you help to be the ears and eyes of our Church family? Do you care about those around you? If the answer is yes, then next time you’re in Church look around you. If a familiar face has been missing for some weeks do something about it, make enquiries, make a phone call mention it to someone – THIS IS NOT BEING NOSEY but showing concern for our Church family. Next time it could be you missing from that pew – I WONDER IF ANYONE WOULD CARE?
Photographs – Please do not take photos during the Service. If you want to take them after the Service has finished, please ensure you only take a picture of your own child or family member. Please obtain permission from anyone else before you take their photo. Thank you.
