Morning Prayer
You are more than welcome to join us for MP via zoom on a Monday and Wednesday morning at 9am. Please contact Rev Alice at curate@stpeterinthanet.org.uk and she will email you the link.
Zoom Coffee and Chat
With Lockdown still upon us and restrictions placed on our going out and meeting people, I know many of you are missing ‘seeing’ people, so I would like to invite you to a weekly zoom ‘coffee and chat’ for half an hour on a Monday morning at 11:30 and a Thursday afternoon at 3pm. Please provide your own tea or coffee and then spend time catching up with friends. All are welcome, please email revjandurrans@gmail.com if you would like to join us, and I will then email you the link. Rev Jan (and Rev Alice).
Thanet Food Link Despite the enormous generosity of so many of you, the stocks at Thanet Food Link are running low, and they are short of the following items: Tinned vegetables inc. tomatoes, Tinned desserts, Baked beans Whole UHT milk, Tinned tuna, Biscuits, Tea and coffee.
Any donations of the above, or any other non-perishable items would be very much appreciated. If every member of the congregation just added one tin to their weekly food shop, and donated it to the Food Link, it would make an enormous difference to so many families who are really struggling at the moment. Donations can be dropped at: any CO-OP store, St. Peter’s Baptist church 10:30-12:00 Fri, The Vicarage (14 Vicarage Street) anytime, and St Peters church on a Sunday morning (9:30-11am)
Christian Aid Plant Stall – change of date
Due to a change in circumstances, the date for the proposed Christian Aid plant stall outdoors at St Peter’s has been changed to Saturday 29th May (Covid restrictions permitting). Please think of sowing a few extra seeds or taking some cuttings for sale. Thank you. Elspeth Cooke (861293)
The Monday Group will not meet on 5th April, but resumes at 2:30pm on 12th April to reflect for ~80 minutes on the final session of “God’s story – our story”, which addresses some of the different ways people come to faith. If you’d like to know more, or to join us (currently by Zoom or by phone) you’d be most welcome. Please contact Michael Cooke (01843 863293 or mcooke.92@btinternet.com) who will happily give you more details.
