Tokens
Many people are kind enough to make monthly donations by Standing Order but find it awkward when the collection plate goes around as they have nothing to put in to indicate their giving.
We have therefore introduced a Giving Token which can be collected when entering the church, and this can be placed in the collecting plate.

Will all subscribers note that these are now ready for collection after this morning’s 9.30 service.

Fundraising Committee Report for Sunday 18th August 2019
Indoor Boot Fair
There will be another Boot Fair in the Main Hall on Saturday 21st September, starting at 9 am and finishing at 12.00pm. Tables are £10 each to hire and can be booked by calling at the Parish Office in Hopeville Avenue, Broadstairs CT10 2TR (open between 9.00am and 1.00pm weekdays) or by calling the office on 01843 866061. Tea, Coffee and other refreshments (especially hot bacon rolls!) will be available on the day. Tables for the September Boot Fair, the first since last spring, usually sell quite fast and the hall has only limited space, so book early to avoid disappointment.
Quiz Night
The next Quiz Night will be on Friday 4th October. Tickets (£10.00 each) will be available soon, and as usual, include a Fish & Chip supper which will be served during the interval (please let us know when buying your ticket if you would prefer something else). The doors will open at 6.30pm for a 7.00pm start and the quiz will, as usual, be devised and run by the immensely able Jane Green.
Loose Change Boxes – slowly & surely the total rises.
You may like to know that in a very short while we will have raised £7,000 from these boxes. A great achievement for all involved and many grateful thanks to everyone collecting. We have some regular, loyal contributors but there must be many others of you with boxes. Please continue to fill them and bring them into the office as soon as they are near to full for counting and return.
I also have more spare boxes for anyone who wants to join the scheme. Come on It’s very simple – any small change that is a nuisance just put the coins in the box and, as above, when convenient either bring it to the office or give me a ring to arrange collection. Don B for FR Team 602287

We are always SO grateful for the cash donations given each week at services. If you are a tax payer it would be an even greater benefit if you could put your donation in a completed yellow Gift Aid envelope so that we can recover the extra 25p in every pound given!
