This means that all church services in St Peter-in-Thanet have been cancelled for the time being.
The Archbishops have expressed the desire that church buildings may, where practical, remain open as places of prayer for the community, observing social distancing recommendations, and information concerning this will be published in the next day or so.

PARISH OF ST. PETER IN THANET
29 March 2020 – Pew Sheet
The Collect for The Fifth Sunday of Lent (Passiontide)
Most merciful God,
who by the death and resurrection of your Son Jesus Christ
delivered and saved the world:
grant that by faith in him who suffered on the cross
we may triumph in the power of his victory;
through Jesus Christ your Son our Lord,
who is alive and reigns with you,
in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
one God, now and for ever. Amen.
In your prayers please remember
Prayers for healing – Alexander Tate; Gordon Burley; Tony Bridges; Sybil Warner; Ernie Turner; Mandy Winters; John Cox; Nick Biggs; Betty Lockwood; Johnathan Aitken; Andrew Cox….and those whose names have been entered in the book for prayers in St. James’ Chapel.
Those who have died recently – David Cooper…..and all those relatives and friends who are mourning the loss of their loved ones.
Please do keep in touch with one another. There will be many who are feeling very isolated, afraid and vulnerable, so a friendly phone call will make all the difference.
