Would you like a place and company where you can:
- Feel supported at a more personal level than is possible in a large congregation.
- Discuss with others some difficult questions about life or Christian teaching.
- Explore more deeply aspects encountered in the Bible.
- Pray with others about specific issues.
All these – and more – can be found at each of our Home Groups, which are open to anyone (not just those attending St Peter’s Church).
Typically, each group has about 8 members and meets for about an hour of study/discussion/prayer, followed by a time of fellowship.
Recent topics have included: reflecting on Psalms; the life of St Peter; topical issues affecting the church including women’s ministry and same-sex marriage; exploring more deeply the Bible Readings heard on Sunday.
Currently, the groups meet on:
- Monday: This group meets weekly each Monday afternoon at 2.30 pm. We will be reflecting on and exploring some of the joys, insights and questions we find in the Bible readings heard in Church the previous day, and we always end with a short time of prayer. Do join us, even for a one-off occasion!
Michael and Elspeth Cooke (01843) 863293.
- Tuesday: This group meets weekly on a Tuesday evening at 7.30pm.
Ian and Rita Dunn (01843) 865340.
- Wednesday: This group meets on the first Wednesday afternoon of the month at 2.30pm.
June Binfield (01843) 861286 or 07711 072233.
