Would you like a place and company where you can:
Feel supported at a more personal level than is possible in a large congregation?
Discuss with others some difficult questions about life or Christian teaching?
Explore more deeply aspects encountered in the Bible?
Pray with others about specific issues?
All these – and more – can be found at each of our Home Groups, which are open to anyone (not just those attending St Peter’s Church). Typically, each group has about 8 members and meets for about an hour of study/discussion/prayer, followed by a time of fellowship.
Recent topics have included: reflecting on Psalms; the life of St Peter; topical issues affecting the church including women’s ministry and same-sex marriage; exploring more deeply the Bible Readings heard on Sunday.
Currently, the groups meet on:
Mondays at 2.30 pm
at 92 Dumpton Park Drive, Broadstairs
(contact Michael & Elspeth Cooke, 01843-863293)
Wednesday Home Group
Meets at St Leu, Vicarage Street at 2.30pm on the first Wednesday of each month and also on Wednesdays during Advent and Lent. For information and any queries please ring John Cox on 07989 057737. Details of each meeting will be published in the Parish News Sheet.
… but each of the groups do sometimes take a week off, so please phone before coming along.
