This means that all church services in St Peter-in-Thanet have been cancelled for the time being.
The Archbishops have expressed the desire that church buildings may, where practical, remain open as places of prayer for the community, observing social distancing recommendations, and information concerning this will be published in the next day or so.

Coronavirus and Church Life

We have received the following UPDATED (10.03.20) guidance from the Church of England. In light of the continued increase of COVID-19 cases in the United Kingdom, it is now necessary to suspend the administration of the chalice (just one kind of communion i.e. the consecrated bread/ wafer/ host) as well as physical contact during the sharing of the peace, blessing or “laying on of hands”. Thank you for your help and understanding with this. Rev Jan.

GLUTEN FREE WAFERS If you require a gluten-free wafer would you please tell one of the Sidesmen before the service. Thank you.
