Many people are kind enough to make monthly donations by Standing Order but find it awkward when the collection plate goes around as they have nothing to put in to indicate their giving.
We have therefore introduced a Giving Token which can be collected when entering the church, and this can be placed in the collecting plate.
The July meeting of the card makers was a hive of activity with members involved in sticking, printing, packing, and labelling. A good number of birthday cards were completed and they will be on sale in the foyer priced 30p and 40p each.
All proceeds go towards church funds. If you purchase any cards please put the money in the yellow honesty box on the stand as we like to know how much our efforts have raised over the year.
We are having a break during August and then in September we will begin making Christmas cards. They will be on sale at the beginning of October in the foyer and later in church after the 9.30 service.
Thank you to all who keep us supplied with card fronts and cellophane bags. Jan Gee.

We are always SO grateful for the cash donations given each week at services. If you are a tax payer it would be an even greater benefit if you could put your donation in a completed yellow Gift Aid envelope so that we can recover the extra 25p in every pound given!
