Fundraising Committee Report for Sunday 23rd June 2019

Railway Swing Band – Wednesday 26th June

Tickets for the Railway Swing Band concert have sold well over the past couple of weeks and there are not many left now and the Community Hall has a capacity limit. If the hall fills up, you or your friends or relatives might be disappointed.  I will be selling tickets at Sunday’s church service, so you will be able to buy yours then, or else you can book them by calling at the Parish office in Hopeville Avenue or by ringing on 01843 866061. The tickets are only £10.00 each. The doors open at 7.00pm and the concert starts at 7.30pm, running until 10.00pm with a short interval during which refreshments, including wine, will be available, so please reserve the date in your diary. The band recently sent us their programme for the evening and it looks amazing, so it should be a wonderful evening. I do hope that you can be there.

Several people have already offered their services to help ‘on the night’. If you would like to assist, I will be holding a short meeting at the back of the church for all helpers after Sunday’s service, so please meet me there then. I’ll be very glad to see you.

Summer `fete Request
We are looking for half a dozen volunteers to sit outside the co-op in St Peters on a rota system and help to sell raffle tickets for our St Peters Summer Fete Grand Draw.

For further details, or if you would like to volunteer, please leave your name and contact details with Rev. Jan or Simon in the Halls Office or phone or message me on 07464 292922 and I will let you know the details. Thank you very much, Roger Waddell, Fete Co-Ordinator

St Peter’s Church Summer Fete Saturday 29th June, 10 am – 2 pm

Commencing tomorrow Monday 24th June items to sell at the Fete can be dropped off to the Parish Office between 10 am – 12 midday Monday to Friday. Remember we need lots of bottles of wine, and some nice prizes for our tombola stalls.

Also don’t forget to buy and sell some of our raffle tickets, stubs and money return to the Parish Office.

If you can spare any time to help set up on Friday 28th June just come along to the hall between noon and 5 pm. The more the merrier. Thank you very much for your support! Roger Waddell, Fete Co-Ordinator.

We are always SO grateful for the cash donations given each week at services. If you are a tax payer it would be an even greater benefit if you could put your donation in a completed yellow Gift Aid envelope so that we can recover the extra 25p in every pound given!
