Canterbury Diocesan Day of Prayer and Pilgrimage – 7th / 8th June 2019

You are invited to pray with everyone across our diocese for God’s direction in refreshing and renewing us all for mission. Together, across 24 hours, we can make a journey of our hearts and minds seeking change in our own lives and ways to change the lives of others through the Good News of Jesus Christ. Join our focused Hour of Prayer – wherever you are – pray with us 4.30 pm – 5.30 pm on Saturday 8th June. Some of you might like to make a pilgrimage journey to Canterbury. There are several routes, some of them ancient pilgrim pathways that lead to our Cathedral. You are welcome to arrive at the Cathedral anytime, however from 2.30pm hospitality and refreshments will be available in The Chapter House. There will be prayer opportunities around the cathedral, some prayer stations in the crypt and the focused hour of prayer beginning at 4.30pm connecting us all in prayer across the diocese. Closing worship at 5.30 pm – 6 pm. Please have a look on the Canterbury Diocese website for more information.

Monday @7: Our next event is on Monday 10th June (PLEASE NOTE CHANGE OF DATE), for lunch at Quex Barn Birchington, at 1pm. Please let me know if you are coming, if you haven’t already done so. Many thanks, Marion Brown, Tel: 604524, email

Wednesday Home Group. Our next meeting will be on June 5th at St.Leu, meeting at 2.30 pm. At these monthly meetings we have a topic for each meeting. Last time we looked at some of the work in Church Schools to encourage understanding Christianity and for children to see Christianity as a Living Faith. In June we hope to look at Pentecost.
