This service is open to all, especially to those who have designated roles in the church, and it is hoped that some members of our congregation will also be there to show their support for Sylvia and Pauline.
Easter cards are now on sale until the 14th April during coffee time and in the Church Hall foyer. They are priced at 30p or 40p and all funds raised will help with the running of our church. Jan Gee.

Please help with the House-to house Collection during Christian Aid Week 12-18 May
The sign-up list for Christian Aid collecting is now available near the south door of the church. Please give prayerful thought to being part of this year’s team and collecting from a street near you or even just a few houses. We very much need new collectors as some of those who have collected faithfully for many years are sadly no longer able to do so and there are many streets we do not cover. For more information about what is involved, please do contact me. Many thanks. Elspeth Cooke (863293)
Fundraising Committee Report for Sunday 14th April 2019
Quiz Night – 5th April
Last week’s Quiz Night was a huge success. Almost all the tables were sold out, Jane Green was her usual brilliant self as Quiz master, everyone had a lot of fun and we raised no less than £691.00 for church funds. Our next quiz will be in October, so please keep the date in mind.
Boot Fair – 27th April
The next Boot Fair will take place on Saturday 27th April. There are still some tables available and, if you would like to take one up or you have a friend who might wish to book one, please apply to the Parish office. You can do so in person or call on 01843 866061.
A Barn Dance is being organised for Saturday 18th May and tickets will soon be available, again from the Parish Office. Tickets will be priced at £7.50 each and it should be a great evening, so mark the date in your dairy now!
Railway Swing Band
The famous Railway Swing Band will be appearing in the Community Hall on Wednesday 26th June. This might seem a long way ahead, but it really isn’t all that far and, as they are a fabulous band and very well worth hearing, this should be a date for your diary too.
Incidentally, we will need a lot of helpers when the Swing Band comes to St. Peter’s. There will be more details later but, if you can help out on that evening, please let us know.
The Monday Home Group – 92 Dumpton Park Drive, Broadstairs
We are now taking a break for Holy Week and Easter week, but expect to resume on Monday 29th April meeting weekly at 2:30 pm to reflect on the glorious Bible accounts of what the Resurrection meant for the early disciples – and of course for us today. Do please join us – you’d be most welcome. If you want to know more, please do phone us on 863293. Michael & Elspeth
