Renewal of the Church Electoral Roll 2019. The renewal commences today Sunday 27th January and will be completed on Sunday 17th March. After that no further names can be added to the Roll until after the APCM on Sunday 7th April. Even if your name has been on a previous Electoral Roll, you need to complete an application form, which will be in Church and the Church Office, to be included in the Church Electoral Roll from the APCM. Caroline Pile, Electoral Roll Officer.
A huge thank you to everyone who has sent in their Christmas card fronts for recycling . As the response has been so good we now have sufficient and are not able to process and store any more. Please continue to send in fronts of other types of cards and of course cellophane bags. Thank you for your support, Jan Gee.
Also a huge thank you. To all who donated tea towels, very kind and very much appreciated. St Peter’s Lunch Club.

Indoor Boot Fair – 26th January 2019
The boot fair took place, as planned, yesterday Saturday and was a great success, all twenty two tables having sold out by the previous Wednesday. I hope it will be possible to announce a final figure for the ‘take’ at this Sunday’s service.
Tea and Beetle Drive
The Beetle Drive (with tea and cakes thrown in) has been widely advertised on our Facebook page and Academy Radio, thanks to the Vicar’s good connections, is also aware of it and will, we hope, promote it. You will soon see posters appearing in the windows of the Parish office and in other places. We haven’t run an event like this for some time, so I hope it will be a big success. We moved the date from that originally planned to 19th February to take into account the school half term holiday and we hope that this will enable and encourage families to take part, as well as older people who might remember Beetle Drives from the past. There will be a raffle as well, so it should all be great fun and I hope that people from our church ‘family’, as well as many others from outside the church, will be there to support and enjoy this event.
Raffle Prizes
In last week’s report, I asked if anyone had anything which they could spare for us to use as raffle prizes, especially items suitable for children. I am very glad to report that many generous people have donated prizes for our raffles and I thank you all so much for your efforts. However, we can always use a few more so, if you find that you have articles which you can donate, we’d be very grateful to receive them. Just bring the items along to the Parish office between 9.00am and 1.00pm on weekdays.
Monday Home Group We reflect in music and word on the Bible readings heard in church the previous day. Meeting at 2:30pm at 92 Dumpton Park Drive, we welcome anyone who’d like to come, even as a one off: we finish at around 4pm with tea and biscuits. If you’d like to know more, please do phone us on 863293. Michael & Elspeth Cooke.

We are always SO grateful for the cash donations given each week at services. If you are a tax payer it would be an even greater benefit if you could put your donation in a completed yellow Gift Aid envelope so that we can recover the extra 25p in every pound given!
