Fundraising Committee Report for Sunday 11th November 2018

Wine & Wisdom

A last quick mention for the Wine and Wisdom event – we raised, after all expenses were paid, a total of £420.00. A really good result and thanks to everyone, especially Jane Green and Pauline Osborne, who did so much to make the event the success it was.

Raffle Prizes

We can always use more prizes for the raffles so, if you have anything to donate, please don’t forget St. Peter’s Church.

Indoor Boot Fair

The next Boot Fair is on the 17th November, so please come if you can and encourage everyone you know to come along too. All twenty-two tables have been sold and there should be a good range of goods to buy. Don’t forget to mention the hot bacon rolls – last time they were delicious!

Parish Festive Fayre, November 24th, 10AM-2PM

Just a reminder about sorting out some things for the FESTIVE FAYRE please. The date is Saturday 24th and we need prizes and bottles for the tom-bola stalls and raffle, good clean clothes, bric-a-brac, toys, jewellery, bags and scarves, CDs and DVDs, Jigsaws, and Christmas decorations.
Please bring your contributions to the Parish Office in the mornings of week-commencing 19th Nov (between 10am and noon if possible, please)

Helpers needed please, to set up the hall on Friday 23rd, between 11am and 7pm. If you can spend an hour or more, that would be great.

With your help, it will be another great fund-raising success and a big thank you in advance, to our 100-strong team of helpers, and to all the others who will come and support us on the 24th by spending their money with us. Roger Waddell, Fayre Co-Ordinator.

Fund Raising 2019

More details of next year’s events soon.

Monday Home Group 2:30pm at 92 Dumpton Park Drive, Broadstairs CT10 1RL

We spend about an hour reflecting on the Bible Readings heard the previous day in church, and follow this with tea and fellowship.  As each week is a therefore “stand-alone”, newcomers to the group are always most welcome.  We find it’s a good way of meeting informally for support and encouragement.  If you’d like to know more, please do phone Michael or Elspeth on 863293.

Wednesday Home Group

We meet again on Wednesday 5th December, 2.30pm, at St Leu, when we will begin our Advent course looking at a very recently published book by Tom Wright called ‘Advent for Everyone’. A journey through Luke.

If you want to know more about this or would like to join us, please ring John Cox on 07989 057737.
