Monday at 7

Our next event is on Monday 13th August in the vicarage garden for our American Supper. We will be asking all members to bring either a savoury or sweet dish, so please start to think what you can bring. I will need to know what you are bringing ASAP so we don’t have too many of any one thing. Contact me, Marion Brown on Tel: 604524 or email Thank you

Thanet Big Bus Conversation.

The 56 bus that serves areas of Broadstairs and St. Peter’s is under threat due to a proposal to cut its subsidy from Kent County Council. A public meeting to be attended by Mike Whiting, KCC Cabinet member for Transport, is being held on Thursday August 30th at 2.30pm in the GAP Project Auditorium, Queen’s Road, Broadstairs when bus users can ask questions about this vital service.

Further information can be obtained from Jenny Matterface on 07785 966666.

 Thanet Food Link.

As we head into the summer months we are finding that the food bank is generally quite low on stock while the needs of the people remain high. So any non-perishable food would be a great help, thank you.

 Fundraising Committee Report

‘Sing Along to the Forties’ Night

Our forthcoming ‘Sing Along to the Forties’ event, which was scheduled for 25th August, has had to be cancelled. Unforeseen circumstances have compelled the Calders, who were to have staged the Forties evening, to cancel it, so we no longer have any FR events in August. This is a very great pity. Some people had already begun to express interest in the ‘Sing Along to the Forties’ night and it seemed set fair to be a popular, well attended and jolly occasion.

 Indoor Boot Fair

The next scheduled Fund Raising occasion will be the Indoor Boot Fair in the Church Hall on Saturday 22nd September. Bookings are now being taken in the Parish Office. Two tables have already been sold!

Monday Home Group 2:30 pm at 92 Dumpton Park Drive, Broadstairs CT10 1RL. We are currently taking our summer break, and will be resuming in September.

Wednesday Home Group

We are now taking a break for the summer months. Please watch this space about the future of this Home Group.

We are always SO grateful for the cash donations given

each week at services.

If you are a tax payer it would be an even greater benefit

if you could put your donation in a completed yellow

Gift Aid envelope so that we can recover the extra 25p
